KIDS FIRST! Film Festival showcases short and feature films from independent and student filmmakers worldwide. We partner with 30+ established film festivals, children's museums, and other organizations to co-host film festivals and stand-alone events year-round.
We believe that all children deserve to have access to high-quality media that will help them grow and learn, to develop cross-cultural understanding and to expand our imaginations in a positive way. Event Sponsorships will benefit the showcasing of films from students and independent filmmakers worldwide, a program dedicated to advocating the next generation of filmmakers and exposing youth and family audiences to films from young filmmakers that are rarely seen, but address important pro-social and environmental issues.

KIDS FIRST! Film Festival is a project of the Coalition of Quality Children's Media, a national, a not-for-profit (501-c-3) organization founded in 1991 that is a voluntary collaboration between the media industry, educators and child advocacy organizations. The mission of the Coalition is: 1) To teach children to become critical media users and; 2) To increase the visibility and availability of quality children's media programming.
