Kids like the mystery story. "It was fun and we learned a lot too." Girls enjoyed more than boys and were "genuinely enthralled." They commented that "the girls are real smart and almost as good as superheroes." Some boys refused to watch.

Includes many volcano facts and a realistic jungle. The volcanologist adds credibility to the story. The rural minors were obnoxiously stereotyped. Story line is age-appropriate, but adults generally didn't care for it. Good-quality production.
