Babies enjoyed seeing familiar objects; some sat for at least half an hour but some kids got very bored. Kids responded best to the English-language sections.
Large pictures, colorful, gentle voices. Exposure to multi-ethnic sounds. A little slow-moving and choppy at times. Some visual scenes did not match the audio content. "I'd like to know how different languages at such short length help little ones."
Addresses the theory that children exposed to different languages in the first year find it easier to learn foreign tongues later on. Stresses the alphabet, counting and nursery rhymes. Uses real-world objects and phrases in foreign languages.
