Kids enjoyed the story. Stimulated discussions about loyalty, environment and tenacity. Audio and video are poor at times. Kids discussed importance of choices they make and the friends they choose. They related to Simon being a phony and a "jerk."
Appealing teen portrayal. Nick is an orphan with emotional problems related to his past. He overcomes many difficulties, a dishonest friend, a handicapped hand, fear of fire and ignorance about nature, and helps save the day. Some mild violence.
