They liked how the pictures tell the story. Girls liked it more than boys. Some thought it too slow. Children were interested in building a fairy house.
Enjoyable, easy to watch, though very low-key. There is no conflict, no character development. There is a natural rapport between adult and child and a link between nature and art, imagination and life. Further inquiry is possible for make-believe.
Join Kristen as she vacations on a small island off the New England coast with her aunt Tracy, an artist. Tracy is creating a picture book about "fairy houses" built in the woods by visiting children. A special relationship develops between them.
