Kids related enthusiastically to the theme of team spirit. Loved the cartoon turtle and friends of all different shapes and sizes. They learned about turning negative feelings into positive ones. "Sharing is nice."
Great moral content, sweet characters. Franklin sorts through situations to find solutions, shows good sportsmanship and cooperation. Offers insight into familiar problems. "I loved that boys and girls both played soccer." Franklin is animated in traditional 2D animation, although likely with the aid of computers, especially in the later seasons. Franklin and his friends enjoy playing a number of sports and games such as baseball, soccer and hockey.
Franklin the Turtle teaches children how to solve problems on their own, although sometimes he does still need help from his parents or friends. the characters on the show as role models for ideal behavior, even though they aren't always perfect. In this episode, Franklin's soccer team loses every game but he's still determined to be the best player on the team. He learns to put his team ahead of himself as he rallies them for the final game. Also includes the episode "Franklin and the Red Scooter." Produced by Nelvana Entertainment this Canadian TV series is based on the books by Brenda Clark (illustrator) and Paulette Bourgeois (writer). Music is by Ray Parker and Tom Szczesniak.
