Children liked this very much. One girl in the group said, "I liked the characters even though it's a 'boy' story."
Fun fantasy. Contains some socially inappropriate actions, such as insults from the coach in opening scene, the mother punching her boyfriend and saying, "I should have killed him." Overall, enjoyable, nicely paced, girls and boys both like this.
When a young boy's broken arm heals, he finds he can throw a baseball with awesome speed. Soon he's in the major leagues on his way to the World Series.
