"I liked how nice the talking animals were." Particularly enjoyed seeing Babe save the sheep. All the animals were adored by the kids, especially the singing mice. They wanted to watch it again. One took it home and watched it five times.
Charming. Great. Fabulous. You may have seen animals talking in movies before, but make no mistake - Babe stands above the rest. The animals' lips are in sync with their lines and Babe is a model of goodness. Really, all the animals are adorable, particularly the singing mice who you have to see to believe. Nominated for many Academy Awards, and awarded "Best for Visual Effects." There are some frightening scenes - the slaughterhouse scene and the sheep who dies.
A very special pig turns Hoggett's orderly farm on its ear. A naive newcomer, Babe boldly forges friendships among all the animals and convinces the entire farm that only in the absence of prejudice can one truly be free to soar.
