Kids loved everything about it, from the costumes to the sets to the story. Pleasantly presented insights into Bach's music. A little long for the younger kids.

Great story. Gives an impression of what 18th-century life is like. Characters are exaggerated to adult eyes but appealing to children. Well produced. Bach's compositions made wonderful background music.

This fictional story shows Johann Sebastian Bach struggling for the freedom to compose music. Bach argues passionately that the only master you can serve faithfully is your own heart, and he recognizes a kindred soul in a ten-year-old assistant.
