Terrific.

Lots of action, backed with excellent photography. A wonderful portrait of a boy and the emotional ties with his horse. Sensitive and respectful treatment of other cultures. The death scene may bother some children.

Alec pursues his beloved horse, Black, who's been kidnapped by his original owner. Alec's mystical bond with Black makes him "the one fated rider" for the film's big race.
