AUTISM IN ENTERTAINMENT SPECTRUM SPOTLIGHT: DANI BOWMAN cover image
What an inspiring documentary.

Dani shares her story of how she pursued a career as an animator, going back to her early youth when she first discovered the magic world or animation. Dani is candid about her challenges with autism but boldly faces naysayers with her superpowers.

Well produced, with clear video and audio. This short biographical film is truly inspiring as we learn the story of how Dani overcame various obstacles to pursue her love of animation. It relies heavily on watching Dani as a "talking head" telling her story. We do see some shots of her students at work, but I would have loved if this showed more examples of her work. Still, it serves a purpose - and that is of telling her story.

The film's message is to never underestimate what you can accomplish.

I give this film 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
