The storyline is about two stylish llamas as they dance and sing their way through doing their laundry at the Laundromat.
To begin, I absolutely love the animated llama characters! That, plus the music composed by Aaron K. Peterson and Tara Perry is absolutely terrific. Director and writer, Martha Grant, has a winner on her plate. This is very upbeat, clever and fun. The colors are great - from the colors of the llamas to the colors of the laundry. She makes great use of combining stop-motion animation with live images of the laundry machines as well as the closet and the drawers. Brilliantly conceived and beautifully executed. I love the dancing llamas and all the minute details like the wrinkled shirt. The background voices are perfect. Loved the ending too!
The film's message is about making an everyday chore like doing the laundry fun! This film made me want to go do my laundry and dance.
I give Llamas at the Laundromat 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 18, plus adults. This is a perfect film for the KIDS FIRST! Film Festivals! It's fun, lively and inspiring.
