Great start to what appears an episodic show. The topic, bullies, is so endemic in this country and the solution, heroes, doubly so. I thorough enjoyed this first episode by writer/director Roberto Sanchez and can't wait to see more.

Rigo, the new kid in town, finds himself being bullied by some of the local kids. A chance encounter with Miguel, a comic book store owner, introduces Rigo to the vast world of superheroes. But are they fiction or real?

Superheroes come in all different shapes and sizes, fiction and non-fiction. This film leads us to believe that the line between fiction and non-fiction is narrower than we think. When a young boy has an unexpected encounter at the comic book store with its owner his world changes. I love how the book store owner influences Rigo in a positive way. This film has great video and audio, plus good acting and special effects. I particularly enjoy Roberto Sanchez's portrayal of the shop owner and Caleb Martinez as Rigo. Bryson Robinson plays a believable nasty antagonist. The film's message is how the power and influence of comic books have an effect on some people's lives.

I give Heroes 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
