A man-child sets off to buy a new cage for his beloved hamster, but is enticed into a world of hedonism. He must become resourceful to make ends meet.
This is a well-made film, with good camera work, good audio and a solid storyline. I give the filmmaker credit for taking a simply story and telling it well. However, the ending is not one for younger viewers, but older teens can appreciate it.
The film's message is that things don't always turn out the way you hope for.
I give Loose Change: A Memoir of Childhood 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 12 to 18, plus adults. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
