What a lovely documentary about the city of New Bedford, Massachusetts. As we listen to the diverse group of people who speak in this film, you can feel their love for their community and understand why it means so much to them. We hear from writers and visual artists, gallery owners, musicians, educators, poets, journalists, historians, storytellers and more. What I took away from this is the pride these people have for their community and the love for their neighbors. The film is well produced with clear video and audio, great editing. It moves at a quick pace with lots of visuals. You come away with a very sincere understanding of this community.
The film shares the love for the City of New Bedford, from a diverse group of people who live there.
I give Love Letters for New Bedford 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
