This is a really exquisite piece of animation with a compelling message. As a film created by a college student, it truly stands out among many others.
A young boy with a mental disorder learns what it means to be different from his peers.
This is exactly the type of film that KIDS FIRST! loves. Terrific animation, in black and while no less. The shading is superb; the boy's expressions are excellent. I love the transitions, especially to the boat. The background music is really outstanding and drives the film's message in a soulful way. Being different from others takes on different meaning here as the film progresses. This would make a terrific interstitial film for a film festival and evoke lots of discussion. Kudos to director Jackson P. Zirrith for excellent work and to Fin Argus for a terrific score.
The film's message is about learning to live with our differences.
I give Bottled 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 12 to 18. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
