This short film truly surprised and delighted me. It's so imaginative and unusual, not to mention unpredictable.
The storyline is about the loss of imagination and how a friendly, Chuck Socky mysteriously appears in an old house to take a young man, Michal, on an a magical journey to explore him to experience that reignite his feelings, emotions and sensitivity.
Such a fun storyline with great characters, especially Chuck Socks - who appears to be dressed in a giant, oversized sock. The camerawork is terrific, even in night shots. So is the audio. recording. The background music is great - with just a wee bit of mystery that helps push the plot along. My favorite part is the relationship between Michal and Chuck, as together they unravel the mysteries of existence and Michal learns there is life beyond his phone.
The message here is to maintain a sense of joy and wonder about life and not get lost looking at your phone.

The Mission of Chuck Socky is a story of loss - the loss of imagination. The eponymous Chuck Socky is a friendly creature who lives in an old house. One day, a new family moves into the house. Their son Michal will accompany Chuck on an a wonderful adventure with an unusual purpose - to reclaim the fragile world of real feelings, emotions and sensitivity. Will they manage to overcome the many obstacles that await them in the unknown? Will they triumph over the dangers of the present-day world? The Mission of Chuck Socky is a family movie in which the real is intertwined with fantasy. It carries a universal message that will resonate with viewers of any background.
