The film shows Costa Rica as a beautiful country that is losing its beaches because of global warming. The message is clear that we need to protect what we have.
I like the way the story is told. It has a great message and inspired me to be more careful with our oceans and its marine life. The camerawork is beautiful, showing gorgeous images of Costa Rica's beaches and parks. I love all the natural colors - the green of the trees and the blue of the ocean. The background music helps support the tone of the film. My favorite part of the film is when they show the coral reefs and the divers swimming inside of sunken ships and seeing the beautiful fish. The film's message is about protecting the ocean, animals, forests and the land for future generations. I give Below the Rise 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 18, plus adults. It teaches a great message about our environment and the Earth.

This film shows the effects of climate change and rising sea levels, and how it's affecting everyone, both humans and animals.
I like how the documentary is set up, showing people from various fields discuss how they are affected by climate change; each has something new to say about their experience. The camera work is very good. The films is all shot on location in Costa Rica, which is beautiful. The topics - rising sea levels and climate change - are an important thing to talk about, and are something that some people may not want to accept, or haven't acknowledged. The young director put together the film in an engaging way that is easy to follow. My favorite part is when they go to a beach at night to help preserve sea turtle eggs. They picked the eggs up to transport them somewhere safer.
The message of the film is that climate change is dangerous, and is getting way worse really fast. It will take a lot more effort to make a change.
I give Below the Rise 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. This film shows the real effects of climate change and how it's affecting people's livelihoods. Some people may not truly know what climate change means for the planet, and this documentary shows them that it is real. Perhaps this documentary will inspire them to take action and help prevent further climate change. Reviewed by Medha N. KIDS FIRST!
