The story follows a surly young boy who is grounded and his cell phone confiscated and lands in his backyard with "nothing to do" only to discover a new reality.
I love the fantasy storyline which develops slowly. and then accelerates. The young boy, plays by Edward Jones, is quite believable from beginning to end. The background music is terrific. The set/location works - nothing spectacular, but suitable for the story. I recommend this for a youth or family film festival.
I give Grounded 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 12, plus adults. By Julie S, KIDS FIRST!
