Inside Pixar is a documentary series showing different people and what they do inside Pixar. So far there are only two episodes for season one and each is 11 minutes long. They are really cool and explain art, cinema, stories and more.
In the first episode of the show, we are introduced to the genius behind the movie Soul, Kemp Powers. Soul is a movie about a man who struggles to become a jazz musician. When he finally gets his chance, an accident causes his soul to be separated from his body and go to a world where souls develop personalities, quirks, and traits before being sent off to Earth. There, he finds ways to live again. In the second episode, we learn about art-making and character thinking from Deana Marsigliese. She worked on Soul, Toy Story and other films. It is really cool to learn how an artist thinks about creating new things. The things that really stood out to me were how they it's like a real family at Pixar and when one person starts a project that project might turn into a movie or a new scene in a movie.
The message of this show is that you can be and do anything. It is a different type of documentary that shows some real sweet inside scoop on one of today's most creative movie studios. I really do like this series and if you're a Disney fan you will too.
I give Inside Pixar 5 out of 5 stars because I really love it! I recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. You can find this show on Disney+ beginning November 13, 2020.
