The Guest is a funny, animated musical and animated film! The song is very catchy. The film illustrates in a funny way just how a baby, or guest, can turn your world upside down. The animation keeps your attention throughout. This animated short film is about a husband singing to his wife why they should not have a baby, and he refers to the baby as The Guest. I love the music, which is mostly an accordion playing with the husband. He is a pretty good singer and the only one singing throughout the film. There are no special effects and the graphics are pretty good. Yes, this would make a fun film to include in a KIDS FIRST! Film Festival. My favorite thing is the music because it is very unique and catchy. The message is to think twice before you consider to have a baby, or a guest, as the husband refers to the baby. Babies are a handful to take care of and to raise. I give this 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to ages 13 to 18 plus adults. Teenagers and adults should consider the consequences of having a baby. Oh my gosh, this is absolutely delightful. Any parent would truly find this hitting home with a hilariously sarcastic bent. It's beautifully animated, exquisitely sung by Bill Burnett and just delightful in every way. I am so impressed with what these students have created, under the tutelage of a highly qualified instructor. My only regret is that I wish it was longer. But, that being said it is a perfect short animated film. I give this 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 to 18, plus Adults. Adults will love this, as will teens.
