This beautifully constructed film from Iceland addresses an issue often overlooked - social isolation. The relationship between the little girl and her mother is so lovingly depicted and the mom's concern about her daughter is very tangible. Also, her solution for her daughter's isolation is perfect. I really love this film and highly recommend it for any youth or family film festival. It's perfect for kids ages 8 to 18, as well as adults and I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Adela is a 7 year old girl who struggles with social isolation. She's bullied at school and desperately needs a friend for support. Her mother is feeling quite helpless regarding her daughters isolation but when she sees how strong Adela's need for social interaction is, she realizes the perfect solution.
