This Australian student production from elementary and middle school students is campy in the most adorable way. I love the space suits made out of cardboard boxes and the audio track which is distorted to make you think the two kids are talking to us from space. I love how the beginning starts with text similar to the opening of Star Wars. It's a good take off. So is the set with the "Breaking News" scrolling across the top. The make up with drawn on mustaches and beards is fun as are the titles. The kid cast appear to be having a wonderful time making this film. There are some issues with audio that is a bit uneven, such as when the kids are outdoors and we heard the wind. But, the quirky storyline and delivery make it something that I think elementary and middle school kids will enjoy. You just have to remind them that this IS a STUDENT PRODUCED film. Recommended for ages 5 to 12. I give this 4 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Julie S., KIDS FIRST! Reviewer.
