Here's a fun piece that belongs in the KIDS FIRST! Film Festivals. Written and directed by award winning filmmaker Francesca Nobili, this Halloween themed animated short is perfect for your tween and teen fans that want something spooky, but not too much. I enjoyed except for the characters' sounds which suddenly switch from simply guttural sounds to speaking English. I liked the parts with the cute muffled sounds better. Other than that it is funny and cute. The story flows well and I enjoyed the animation and claymation. There is excellent visual and sound quality. Everything is clear - from the audio to the visual quality. I like how the characters are animated, especially the monsters. It's quite impressive.
It flows well and is easy to understand. I like how the girl scares away the monsters. That is funny and ironic. It is a bit creepy at first, but then the girl takes charge. I think tweens and teens would like it because they won't mind the creepy parts and would find them funny.
I feel that kids under age 7 would be scared by some of the creepy parts, especially at the beginning and so I recommend it for ages 9 to 14 and give it 4 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Leah R., KIDS FIRST! Film Critic.
