Recommended. The beginning is pretty depressing and uses some mild profanity, such as "damn" and "goddamned." Once the children's find a volleyball, the whole feeling of the film changes dramatically. Not just the children, but the adults become more lively and happy. And, the change in tone once the asylum seekers and the soldiers start playing volleyball is heartwarming. It shows us how something as simple as a sport can make all the difference in our life, that we are all humans and share some of the same things that give us happiness. The sub-titles are lacking in accuracy, but you still get the gist of what is intended. I highly recommend this film for ages 12-18 and give it 4 out of 5 stars. If it could only bring peace in the Middle East, how happy it would make us all. Reviewed by Julie S. KIDS FIRST! Adult Juror.
A group of Arabian spoken asylum seekers arrive to an English spoken country border and can't keep going. They conflict with border soldiers everyday till a deaf-mute baby becomes a catalyst for better communication between two groups.
