This short from the U.K is inspired by the true story of the English photographer Rob White, as a young man wanting to learn more about his father who was a football (soccer) legend. The story is well executed. It's heartfelt, emotional and well paced. The cinematography, background music and actors' performances are all exceptional. For child acting standards, the boy who plays Rob is very good. Children would enjoy this because it addresses things that kids often ask about, such as what their parents were like. It flows very well and is highly watchable. The vocabulary is suitable for the target audience. The cinematography is excellent as is the sound design and sets. It hits emotional moments as needed, with appropriate background music. For a 20 minute short, it delivers a big story. However, some parts of it are confusing such as why the older boy is forcing the younger kids to play soccer. His bullying behavior is weird and not connected to the rest of the story until the ending. I like when the boy discovers artifacts from his father's career in the attic and discovers what happened to his dad. I give this 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 to 18. Sports fans will particularly enjoy it. Reviewed by Angel U. and Julie S., KIDS FIRST! Adult jurors.
