Adorable storyline, told as a non-narrative animated short. At first, I was unhappy with the color palette and then remembered that it is her dream, which explains the limited colors. I think any African American kid, girl or boy, will relate to the issue of taming their hair and treating it as if it's an intergalactic beast is not inappropriate. In a daydream, a young girl parallels her natural hair care routine to the taming of an intergalactic beast. Although the process is strenuous, tedious, and lengthy, she wouldn't have it any other way.
