This movie is well made. I think the idea of having to drink your words is interesting and it kept me interested throughout the entirety. I believe older children will find the idea of the story interesting, because it has a little bit of everything in it - love, suspense and comedy. On the other hand, the "steampunk" feel is a little bit over the top. I didn't really care for the "steampunk" costumes. They are somewhat odd and out of place. However, it is a pretty charming movie and I enjoyed it. I love the locations. They are very beautiful. The filmography is very professionally executed and the storyline flows well. It is a cute, captivating and charming story that everyone could enjoy. Note that many of the actors have imdb pages and have been in different movies. I recommend it for ages 12 to 18 and give it 4 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Matthew B., KIDS FIRST! youth reviewer I love this film. It is exactly the type of creativity that KIDS FIRST! looks for. The filmmaker delivers a truly unique story in the most delightful way. The costumes, sets and storyline are all well executed and timely. It is well paced, has some surprise moments and a tinge of a love story. This would play at a film festival as it is something quite different from main stream films that youth are so accustomed to watching. Yes yes yes!
In a time before the past and after the future there is a town where words are something physical. In this town you can drink words like you drink wine or orange juice. Before you can speak you have to drink a bottle of words. You can buy these words in small talk cafes.
