I believe that a young child would enjoy this because they might see the storyline as interesting. The most appealing thing about this film is the great message. The unappealing thing is that it is very similar to the film Epic. The animation quality is quite good. The story flows well and makes sense. The sound is good and the characters are unique. One youth reviewer mentioned that the faces don't show emotion well and when the characters talk, their lips barely move. Also the story is extremely repetitive and gets boring quickly. I recommend it for ages 8 to 12 and give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. This is ideally suited for a family audience at a film festival with young children.
