This is a Documentary about a Girls Music Camp for girls ages 8-18, in Wisconsin. The film mainly focuses on 3 of the bands at the camp. I love the overall spirit this film gives off. It feels so positive and encouraging. It feels like a place I wanna go, even though I don't wanna be a musician. Which I think is pretty impressive. Also, these kids were legitimately really talented. Not even joking, I was actually impressed. I really enjoyed the songs that they wrote, and in a week. Especially since some of them didn't have any musical experience. I hope these girls do follow their dreams.

"Take the Stage" follows the journey of determined, female rockin' youngsters, ages 8-18 at a music intensive one-week long day camp. Instructed and supported by an all-female staff, mostly comprised of professional musicians, girls not only form calluses, but also cultivate a sense of community, learn to collaborate, and most of all, break the current gender barriers existing in music. Lend your heart to the journey of this roller coaster week of inspiration, struggle and triumph!
