MORTEZA ALI ABBAS MIRZAEI

The most appealing feature about this film is the drama, mystery and love of a father for his children. I like the way we learn why Parviz is a prisoner and how Zohreh attempts to keep his image stellar. It is a story of determination and fatherly love. The story follows a father, Parviz , who is a prisoner on leave to handle the death of his wife Zohreh. He is faced with finding out the truth about not only his wife's death but also her life with his two children. I believe older children will enjoy this film because of its message about self-reflection and determination. The film has you guessing what Parviz will do to keep his word about returning to prison and making sure his children are cared for and safe. We see and experience the fear from an unknown person chasing Zohreh that leads to her being run down by a car. Parviz meets his daughter after a couple of years and his six- year-old son for the first time. We feel his "isolation" as he seeks to unravel the mystery of his wife's life. He talks with their former landlord, relatives and friends to get to the real answers. It is well produced with excellent visuals and a storyline that holds you in suspense. I recommend this film for ages 14 to 18 and give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This is definitely not for younger children. I recommend Isolation for the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival. Zohreh is stalked on the way home. She finds this out in the middle of the way and runs away. This leads to her death in a car accident. Her husband, Parviz, has the head jailer's green light to go on bail for 72 hours to bury and say farewell to Zohreh.
