The Collection is truly a captivating miniseries highlighting Paris fashion and glamour while providing a glimpse into the history of this iconic city. It follows the Sabine family, their friends and acquaintances as they bring Paris back to the forefront as the fashion capital of the world. The Sabine family consists of Paul, who runs the business side of things and occasionally has to get his hands dirty to keep the business operating, his American wife who has connections in the fashion world and is a major component in keeping the business afloat, Paul's brother Claude who is a brilliant designer and their mother Yvette.

The Collection entertains from the beginning to the end. It provides a glimpse into the behind the scenes workings of the fashion world. The cinematography is stunning, especially the freeze frame shots of the models in various outfits and the photographs of the fashion house's collection, which add to its allure. This miniseries serves as a reminder of tempestuous times in France, the world and people's resilience. However, this miniseries is most suited for an older audience as there are several scenes that include adult language, behavior and violence. I recommend it for ages 14 to 18. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Jennifer V., KIDS FIRST! Adult Juror.

1947. A fashion empire rises from the ashes of war-torn Paris, run by the breathtakingly charming and thoroughly ruthless Paul Sabine. But behind the glamour and elegance lies a devastating secret that threatens to destroy the company's delicately built success. Sophisticated and contemporary in tone, this is a story about the price of success, set during a pivotal moment in France's history.
