The Story of China is quite interesting. It appears to offer a realistic and complete look of China and its culture. The first disc covers ancestors, silk roads, China ships and the Golden Age. I learned a lot about China and can't think of a more entertaining way to learn. I like its set up. It is quite long and the episodes make it easy to go back to where you left off. The narration is by Michael Wood whose voice keeps you awake, rather than droning on. I really enjoyed learning about China's history and especially liked the scenery and the narration. The second disc covers the Ming Dynasty, the Last Empire and the Age of Revolution. There are also special features that are equally entertaining such as "Anyone for Coffee"? This is a very thorough filmed history of China and anyone watching it will surely learn a lot. I give this 5 stars out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 to18 as well as adults.
