The student short, Cosmopenguin In Sushiland is a fun imaginative romp through spectacular locations such as Sushiland, Abu Dabhi and Vienna. It follows a penguin from Jupiter who goes on a bizarre journey around the world with characters like a frog who eats meteorites and a squirrel. It is very childlike, colorful and fun. I appreciate how everyday objects like toy cars and toy penguins are incorporated into the film. It doesn't have amazing production quality, but it has an endearing homemade quality to it. I think children will enjoy it and it could inspire them to make their own films in the future. This short film is very weird, but I believe younger kids could very much enjoy it. I recommend this offbeat tale for inclusion in the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival. I recommend it for ages 2 to 6 and give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Benjamin P., KIDS FIRST! The adventures of the Cosmospenguin (which is just on diet) lead him from his home planet Jupiter up to the light years distant, praised Sushiland. In search of a treasure he meets the frog (which suffers at iron deficiency). His trip to San Francisco ends in the chaos. In his visit in Vienna he saves together with the frog the squirrel (which can shout very loudly). On his odyssey in the desert he hits on the camel Simon (who needs no gasoline). For what is looking the Cosmospinguin on the Sushiland, seems at first unclear. Only after he has travelled around half a planet, finally, the sense of his trip becomes by him conscious ...
