This film is amazing and I recommend it for the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival in the Environment Short Film category. Children will enjoy it because it has unique and interesting animation and a wonderful message about problems children should find interesting. The stop motion animation is really well done. The costumes and sets are also quite good. I love the sound track, which makes the animation spring to life. All the production values are high enough to meet big screen standards. The vocabulary and concepts are suitable for school aged children. The main character is a young child. The only potential unappealing factor is the word engineering in the title. Unless, you are a nerd like me, you might take a look at the title and assume the film is going to be boring. The word stormwater in the title is appealing, I believe. When I saw it, I wondered exactly what storm water. I believe the film encourages kids to help protect the environment and it belongs in a youth and family film festival. I recommend it for ages 5 to 12 and give it 5 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Jolleen M. and Julie S., KIDS FIRST! jurors.
