An emotionally engaging stop motion clay animation film. There is no dialogue. It is truthful and mirrors both historical and current events from the Colonization of America to Donald Trump building a wall. The orange men (symbolizing Trump, Columbus, etc.) attack the innocent multi-colored people after they gave them food and shared their talents with them. With everything going on in today's world, people will see similarities between the film and reality and will connect emotionally. Underlying themes of xenophobia, racism, and violence are sure to stir up some important conversations between parents, kids and friends. I like how this film motivates that type of conversation. However, it is not appropriate for little ones because of the violence. The claymation gives the film an aesthetically pleasing visual appeal. One thing that stands out to me in films is the soundtrack which, for a non-narrative film, is critical. I most definitely think this film deserves a space in the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival and recommend it to ages 10 to 18. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Ella L., KIDS FIRST! Film Critic.

When a small tribe of green natives are conquered by a 'superior" orange race, things go from bad to worse for everyone involved. On the surface, "Not One of Us" is a child-like fable, but ultimately it's a dark commentary about the walls that get built in the name of greed, violence, and xenophobia . This 8 min. stop motion animated film was created by Bill Jarcho and Sean Burns of Bill & Sean's Excellent Animation. The voices are all in the universal language of gibberish.
