Clever, cute, compelling. The animation of this film is quite unique and charming. I found myself drawn into the story from the very get go. The simple line drawings are remarkably expressive and I kept wondering what was going to happen next - from seeing Pawo ski to straddling a hole in the ground. Oh my, that hole became a being of sorts. One thing becomes another in the most playful way - An octopus, a pig, a panda, a blob. The girl becomes fat, changes her hair. I love how imaginative this film is and cute. Even when the cute character becomes suddenly strange. Great sound effects and music and no dialogue. I could have watched it much longer and was disappointed when it ended. Even the ending credits are fun. Recommended for ages 5-12. This would make a fun addition to any film festival.
