This film teaches a valuable lesson and is very current and topical. It is suitable for kids in middle school and has visual appeal. The acting is pretty good and believable. The locations used fit really well with the story. Most of the film takes place at home or in school. The costumes are pretty typical of what most kids in middle school are wearing. I like that there is a good point to the story and that there are all different races and cultures included. I wasn't quite sure at first about the stereotyping of certain groups in school, but it is believable and there really are groups in middle school and high school. I think this is well executed and kids would benefit from watching it. We recommend this film for ages 8 to 13. Reviewed by Denise B. KIDS FIRST! juror
