This amazing documentary on space exploration is narrated by Patrick Stewart (X-Men series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Ice Age: Continental Drift, and many more). The film is very informative. I learned so much. It even shows NASA's 3D diagrams for how they will build new spacecraft for Mars. The challenges that the human body has to endure while orbiting the Earth in the ISS (International Space Station) are great. For example, some people's bones and eyes start deteriorating within a few days of being in zero gravity. Physical exercise and nutrition are two key components of their staying healthy.
I have many favorite parts of this film. One is when Patrick Stewart describes the human's hunger for knowledge and discovery. Another is the introduction which shares diverse environments of our planet Earth. Patrick Stewart is a great narrator for this film with his captivating tone of voice and amazing vocabulary. Also, this documentary included Chris Ferguson who is an experienced astronaut, Serena Aunon, an astronaut-in-training and Lindsay Aitchison who designs and makes space suits. All three people are passionate about what they do and each plays an important part of the success to travel into deep space and beyond!
The moral of this film is that mankind is, and will always be, exploring new environments and places on this planet and in deep space. I relate to this concept on many levels because I love to explore. The things that really stick out to me in this film are the music, the fabulous scenery and all the information throughout the film.
I recommend this movie for ages 8 to 18 and think adults will enjoy it as well because the extraordinary knowledge given is great for all ages and is very inspirational for all who wish to invent and discover new things. I give this documentary 5 out of 5 galactic stars.
