Copper Wire is about an Iranian boy selling copper wire so he can rent a movie. Although I appreciate this story, it is a little confusing due to subtitles and the take away is not as strong as I hoped. It is an insightful piece that shows the dire situation of these two young boys and how their friendship survives despite their struggles. The idea that they go through all this work in order to rent a movie certainly makes an impact on children whose access to films is almost unlimited.
This short film is about a child who collects copper wire and sells them so he can rent a movie. In Persian with English sub-titles.
