Survivor is breathtaking and electrifying. It made me feel a pit in my stomach that was so intense because I felt as if I was a part of the film myself. This outstanding film is about a woman who is a Foreign Service Officer and tries to prevent terrorist attacks. Unfortunately, she gets too close to preventing atrocities that she becomes framed for crimes concerning terrorists and, all of a sudden, is running from villains, the government and her closest friends all to save America.

Every character is excellent and seems very realistic, especially the main villain who is played by Pierce Brosnan and the main character played by Milla Jovovich. I don't usually focus on the cinematography in films but, for this film, it is quite important. It seems like the camera is hidden where no one could ever find it but the camera still captures every image and this makes the film come to life even more. Also, since the film has a lot of guns and bombs, the visual and sound effects can't seem fake and luckily, the movie succeeded in this. Speaking of sound effects, the music is very suspenseful so the film does achieve its goal of being an action and suspense film. The director James McTeigue really creates an acceptable film and it deserves an applause.

I think the plot is that one should always do what is right even if someone is trying to stop you or, if they say that what you are doing is wrong when you know that what you are doing is right. I would not recommend this movie for all audiences but, for people who enjoy action and thriller genres, they will enjoy it. This movie is very well done and I definitely would watch it again. I rate this film a 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 13 to 18 because of the extreme violence and some foul language. I hope whoever watches this film will enjoy it just as much as I did.

A State Department employee newly posted to the American embassy in London is charged with stopping terrorists from getting into the U.S. That puts her right in the line of fire and she is targeted for death and framed for crimes. Discredited, she is forced to go on the run while she tries to clear her name and stop a large-scale terrorist attack set for New Year's Eve in Times Square. SURVIVOR is directed by James McTeigue and also stars Dylan McDermott, Angela Bassett and Robert Forster.
