This faith-based film is very touching and emotional. It shows us exactly what our soldiers go through to protect our country.

Two fathers of different paths were brought together by the Vietnam War and, after their deaths, their sons are brought together for peace. These two sons Wayne (David A.R. White) and John (Kevin Downes) never had the opportunity to really see their fathers. However, the letters that they received from them displayed messages of love and pride.

One of the main reasons why I like this film is that the portrayal of our soldiers in the war is so realistic. It shows us what they had to go through to claim freedom for our country. The different plot lines are woven together very well and the script is written with smooth transitions from one time period to another. Even though this film has lots of great characters and scenes, I think that some of them are unnecessary. My favorite scene is when Wayne talks about his past in a jail cell with John. It's a tender moment and is a very emotional scene that gives layers to Wayne's character.

My favorite characters are the two main characters, Wayne and John. They feed off each other very well and their different personalities actually complement each other. I like the references of Bible verses this film has which gives comfort and strength in life and death situations. Even when the fathers are facing death, they can have eternal life in heaven if they choose and believe.

This film has a great message about fatherhood and getting along with others. It spreads the gospel of Jesus and touches your heart.

I recommend Faith of our Fathers for ages 12 to 18. Although there are war scenes, it's not overly graphic or gruesome. People who like faith-based films will thoroughly enjoy it.

I give this film 4 out of 5 stars. It is a good film that tells the gospel and has great messages. <[>Thank you to all our service men and women who serve to protect our country on a daily basis. Faith of our Fathers is in theaters on July 1st, so please check it out.

With the Vietnam War raging in 1969, two young fathers report for duty. A man of great faith and a doubtful cynic. A quarter-century later, their sons, Wayne and John Paul (David A.R. White and Kevin Downes), meet as strangers. Guided by handwritten letters from their fathers from the battlefield, they embark on an unforgettable journey to The Wall-the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Along the way, they discover the devastation of war cannot break the love of a father for his son.
