My favorite part is when Rover is captured by the alien army for the first time. I think that is really funny and weird how Rover, the robot, is captured by the alien army.(But you have to watch the movie to find out!) I also like the beginning when it is kind of scary when out of nowhere there is a big invasion and then they completely change the subject and start showing a typical day on this Planet and start playing the song Lollipop by The Chordettes. I think it is actually a clever way to capture someone's attention. The twist in this movie is that aliens think that the humans are aliens and the humans think the aliens are aliens. That is another reason why I like this movie. There is a lot of music in this movie which really makes the action stand out.
The main characters of this film are Dwayne Johnson (Captain Charles T. Baker), Jessica Biel (Neera), Seann William Scott (Skiff) ,John Cleese (Proffesor Kibble), Justin Long (Lem), and Gary Oldman (General Grawl). My favorite character is Captain Baker because I think is a very brave captain and really funny.
I think that his task proves to be harder than expected, especially when alien General Grawl and Professor Kipple get involved. Convinced that the "humaniac" is out to take over the Planet 51 inhabitants' brains, the General and his army set out to capture Chuck. At great peril to himself, Lem continues to try and help Chuck. With the help of a few of Lem's friends and Chuck's trusty pal Rover, they just might succeed. If Chuck can put aside his grand vision of himself, he just might be able to teach the inhabitants of Planet 51 a thing or two about what lies beyond.
I recommend "Planet 51" to kids ages 5 to 12 because I think it's a very good movie for a family to watch and enjoy together. I give it 5 out of 5 stars because I loved it so much. It had comedy, friendship, action, adventure and much more.
