The kids laughed, squealed, tittered and watched in stunned silence throughout the entire movie. They loved that the story provided thinking opportunities.
Nice male-bonding story. Fails to include girls in sports. However, girls and boys enjoyed it equally. Talks about some real-life teen issues with harsh realities - feelings, hopes and dreams. The characters work out their problems without violence. Capturing adolescence at its finest, The Sandlot is a funny, inspiring, and motivational film that shows how baseball can bring people together. Through experiences that are relatable, the characters in this film have the ability to captivate the audience through their adventurous behavior and witty dialogue. As a classic and quintessential film for any baseball fan, this film is filled with summer vibes that show the essence of kids during the sixties.
