This film gives me great insight into what it is like to be a magician and also into the handful of kids that the documentary highlights along the way. The week-long premier camp for budding magicians is something many of us would have no idea existed. Unique, interesting and engrossing. Somewhat long for many audiences. Especially appealing to adolescent audiences who worry that they are different. I really liked watching this film, it is heart-felt and real.
To escape the pressures of growing up, magic-obsessed kids congregate at Tanner's Magic Camp, the world's most prestigious magic institution. They want to prove their worth on the same stage where superstar magician, David Copperfield, once performed. To get there, they will need to learn more than sleight of hand, they have to find the magic inside.
