I really like this film because it's hilarious. I am absolutely in love with the Muppets. This comedy-mystery movie is about three muppets, Kermit, Gonzo, and Fozzie, voiced by Jim Henson, Frank Oz, and Dave Goelz, who are failing reporters. The three friends travel to Britain to try to prove to their boss that they are good at their job, to get a great story, and to solve the case of the missing jewels that belong to the famous clothing designer, Lady Holiday, played by Diana Rigg. Along the way, they stop at the Happiness Hotel, a run-down place, and meet some friends there. Kermit meets the lovely secretary of Lady Holiday, Miss Piggy, also voiced by Frank Oz. When Lady Holiday's brother, Nicky Holiday, played by Charles Grodin, has evil plans to steal one of Lady Holiday's precious jewels, it's up to the Muppets to stop him and three of his accomplices. My favorite character in this film is Fozzie. I like Fozzie because he's a very cute, huggable, funny bear! He reminds me of my favorite teddy bear. My favorite scene in this film is when Lady Holiday is having a fashion preview and Miss Piggy comes on stage wearing a swimsuit and there's a song with girls in a swimming pool with Miss Piggy as the star because she's so happy she's finally getting to be a model! Directed by Jim Henson, written by Tom Hatchett and Jay Tarses, and produced by Henson Associates. Most of the music in this film is by Joe Raposo and is very much like a musical. I really enjoy this kind of music. I think that the cinematography in this film is great. I love that it is filmed in Britain, because it's a beautiful place to shoot a movie. I also really like the mix of puppets and real people in this film. It's nice that the real people treat the puppets as they're equals, even though they're pigs, frogs, bears, and many other animals! I recommend this film to people of all ages because I think that this film is easy to follow, is very appropriate, and is a great family film! I give 'The Muppet Caper' five out of five stars because I think that the Muppets are awesome and hilarious! Look for this classic family film on HDNet movies KidScene this month. This film has lots of comedy, music and has the adorable Muppets. Kermit (Jim Henson), Gonzo (Dave Goelz), and Fozzie Bear (Frank Oz) are all reporters who get fired because of their lack of interesting news stories. They travel to London to interview Lady Holiday (Diana Rigg), who is a rich fashion designer that is a victim of a jewel theft. With the help of her new secretary, Miss. Piggy, (Frank Oz), Kermit and his friends slowly get more clues to who the thieves really are. This film has something for everyone; adventure, romance and a little danger. Since this film is a musical with good music and songs, I like it even more. My favorite scene is when Kermit sees Miss. Piggy for the first time. She is on a desk and acting like she is accepting an award, oblivious that Kermit is watching her. This is funny to see. Of course my favorite character is the famous Miss Piggy because she is really dramatic. I think she steals the show every time. I've seen a couple of other Muppet films, and Director, Jim Henson is doing another great job with directing this one. The plot is easy to understand. Actors Charles Grodin (Nicky Holiday), John Cleese (Neville), and Jack Warden (Mike Tarkanian) are also staring in the Great Muppet Caper. One message that I found is to never give up until you've completely finished the job. Kermit is trying to find the criminals and not many people are assisting him. He is not complaining or anything, but keeps on trying to find the thieves. I recommend The Great Muppet Caper, for ages 5 to 12. I think that older ages will be somewhat bored when they see it, but it's a great film for the family to get together and watch. I give this film 4 out of 5 stars. I like that it's a musical, but some of the scenes I feel are not needed. Tune in to see The Great Muppet Caper; playing all month on HDNet Movies kidScene. Brianna Hope Beaton, age 13, KIDS FIRST!
