KERMIT'S SWAMP YEARS (HDNET)

If you like the Muppets, this adventure movie will keep you entertain. This movie is about Kermit on his way home, remembering his first time going outside the swamp with his friends, Croaker, Goggles and Blotch. On this outing, two of his friends get picked up by a guy in red pick-up truck. Kermit and Croaker decided to follow the red truck and rescue Croaker and Goggles. During the rescue, Kermit realize the strength and the annoying habits of his friends. He sees that his friends will have each other's back. Even- though Goggles can be whiny, he is loyal. Kermit also found new friends in this journey. His new friends are human and a dog name Pilgrim. Kermit learn that human can be loving and the dog is his best friend during this journey. Kermit follows his heart even when there's no hope. This movie is hilarious with poop jokes and how Kermit have a bad encounter with a Pig. The conflict in this movie is man versus frog. It show that how the high school biology class dissect frogs as part of the learning process. The songs in this movie are not catchy as other Kermit's movie. The human actors are funny, even the mad biology teacher. My favorite character is Kermit; he is so wise, funny and loyal. The message from this movie is no matter where your home is, it's "HOME" to you and it will always be in your heart. They can cut out the part with all the frogs laying their ready for the scalpel. This part is too hard to watch, I have to close my eyes and tell my mom to let me know when the scene is over. I rank this movie 5 out of 5 stars. I give this age ranged 4 -8 years old. Originally released in 2002. Playing all month on HDNet - kidScene Movies, September 2012. An entertaining, coming of age tale portraying Kermit and his muppet friends. Lots of action, adventure and comedic relief. Shows friendship in a positive light. Clever dialogue, although contains some bathroom humor. Good mix of animation and real life.
