Very enjoyable. Cabella's guardian dies and she is forced to leave her home, taking with her an old key. She embarks on a journey to find out about her family's roots. Good structure, it flows really well. The content draws you in like a real life fairy tale. The production quality is outstanding, including the sound. I think kids attending a film festival would love this.
This story has everything - romance, mystery, friendship, ghosts, culture and even a really cool house in the Italian countryside. Very irresistible for teens, without any particularly inappropriate or explicit behavior. It has a "Masterpiece Theater" kind of feel to it with classic locations, sets, costumes and music. A young lady embarks on a trip from her home in England to a small town in Italy, in order to find out the truth about her parents and where she comes from. Though the end is a bit sappy, I appreciate all of the loose ends being tied up, mysteries resolved and a happy ending for all. Lovely shots of the countryside. A unique and complex story. I would love to read this as a book. Especially appealing to girls, the acting is very good, the storyline is engaging and you can't walk away until you know everything has worked itself out. I love the depth of character that is built up for the main characters, the smaller parts and even those who are deceased.
A romantic fairy tale about a 19-year-old orphan who gets, as her sole inheritance, an antique key that unlocks both an old villa in Italy and the mysteries of her family history.
