Very well done. Storyline features two autistic kids out on their first date ever - together and at the prom. It shows the anguish of a mom who wants more for her daughter, the love of a dad and the boy's mom, the excitement and humanity of these two kids and looks at how overwhelming the world can be when you are different. The support of the kids at school, which leads to an "altered" prom to fit these kids' needs, is a bit unrealistic - though possible. It's well made, well acted although the background music with piano and violin are a bit overwhelming. Overall, really a lovely sort of a fairytale about people who are different but accepted. It's love in the truest sense. Great discussion starter for kids who need a reminder to accept others. Not available in online film festival, trailer only.
All Oliver and Alexandra want is to be normal for one perfect night - prom night at the public high school. But 'normal' can be a minefield for an autistic teen.
