A modern twist on Mulan - showing how a girl can dominate in what is considered a man's sport (martial arts) The fighting is in a controlled setting and shows how fighting is not the most important thing. Interesting to see a different culture and Lana's character is pretty realistic. Lana's personality is very distinct. The fighting is interesting. There is a portrayed level of respect within it.

Lana Liu, disguised as a boy, enters a Chinese martial arts academy, only to be discovered. She fights to support her grandmother, and begin her journey to the home of her father, the USA.
